As long as broker licenses do not exist in Myanmar, Poe-ma insurances registered in Myanmar as a rep-office, offers the placement of risks in facultative reinsurance of Myanma Insurance (the insurer) through its entity PUMA (Poe- ma Underwriting & Management Assistance Ltd – Labuan) and local service to its clients is provided by its local subsidiary PASM (Poe-ma Assistance & Services Myanmar Ltd)
Our history
From the outset, Poe-ma insurances has positioned itself as an insurance broker looking at the business from a different angle.
The company’s founder, Vincent Georges, a former general insurance agent in mainland France, created a unique system to preserve an essential economic activity in French Polynesia: pearl oysters (Poema means “pure pearl” in Tahitian, Tahitian black pearls being renowned the world over for their finesse and quality).
This approach, based on the construction of solutions adapted to local economic and climatic constraints, will enable the rapid development of Poe-ma insurances: insuring other maritime and industrial activities in Polynesia, and insuring the personal property of Polynesians.
Poe-ma insurances’ perfect knowledge of overseas risks, and of maritime risks in general, naturally led it to expand into the tropical belt, then into Southeast Asia and the Mediterranean basin.
With over 7M euros in sales by 2022, 11 agencies worldwide, nearly 60 employees and privileged partnerships with renowned international companies, Poe-ma insurances is now recognized as a broker who takes the risk of getting involved in the lives of its customers and prospects.
